GLASS ORTHODONTICS
COVID-19 POLICY & PROCEDURES

covid-19 policy complimentary consultation at glass orthodontics

First and foremost, my team and I would like to thank all of our patients for their understanding, compassion and confidence during this scary and confusing time.

Our community has been through a lot over the last year, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines.

While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.

HOW WE ARE KEEPING YOU AND OUR TEAM SAFE

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe.

Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agency’s recommendations.

You will see some additional changes and protocols in place when it is time for your next appointment. We have made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example:

WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR NEXT
APPOINTMENT

  • You will receive confirmation of your next appointment as well as the protocol for your visit. The day of your appointment, please remain in your vehicle and text us that you are here. We will let you know when we are ready for the patient to come in.
  • We ask that only patients come into the office. We understand that some children may be nervous and we are flexible in those situations and will allow one parent. No siblings at this time. If you have questions about your child’s treatment, we ask that you call our office after their appointment.
  • We will schedule your child’s next visit and send them out with an appointment card. If the time or date does not work please call our office to reschedule.

OFFICE CHANGES TO EXPECT AT YOUR NEXT APPOINTMENT

  • Your car is our new waiting room and our waiting room and office amenities are not available at this time.
  • We will be practicing social distancing in the office. Our assistant and your child will maintain a 6 foot distance from any other assistant and their patient. This may mean you are offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.
  • Our brushing station will remain closed for now, so please brush prior to your appointment.
  • Our team will be wearing personal protective equipment for your safety and theirs.
